Personal Experience
Ryan received his M.A. in Counseling at The Family Institute at Northwestern University and his B.S. in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He practices relationally to honor each person’s uniqueness and to explore the social, political and historical forces that shape our lives. Ryan recognizes therapy involves both individual experiences and a broader understanding of their identity within relationships.
Collaboration drives his work, as he trusts each person’s internal wisdom and supports clients in reconnecting with that inner knowledge. Together, they co-create a safe, compassionate, affirming space.
His approach centers on what matters most to each individual. Ryan helps clients define goals and narratives that align with their values, identities and hopes for change.

Life is not alone what you make it. Life is the input of everyone who touched your life and every experience that entered it. We are all a part of one another. - Yuri Kochiyama
