Personal Experience

Audrey received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at North Park University in Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology from Hope College.

She believes therapy is a wellness tool that should be accessible to people of all sexual, racial and gender orientations. Utilizing a person-centered approach, Audrey allows her clients the space they need and deserve to process life’s triumphs, struggles and periods of adjustment. Starting therapy can be overwhelming, but she creates an inviting, positive and respectful space for healing.

Using play and art-based interventions, Audrey works with children and their parents/guardians to create an inviting and safe environment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques are used to help clients identify the skills and tools that work best for them as they experience the world.

Specialties include:

Treating children, adolescents and young adults with anxiety, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation and behavioral disorders. Audrey also sees adults for anxiety, depression, grief/loss, gender identity and related issues.

The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination. — Carl Rogers
