Personal Experience
Sarah holds a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Major in Psychology and Minor in Sociology from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Dominican University. There, her primary practicum allowed her to work with veterans in an outpatient Addiction Treatment Program (ATP).
With more than ten years of social work experience, Sarah has been fortunate to serve in various hospital leadership roles, gaining significant experience in creating and facilitating outpatient programs.
Sarah knows a “one-size-fits-all” approach doesn't work, so she applies evidence-based therapeutic modalities to create an individualized treatment plan for each client and their dynamic goals.
Specialties include:
[trauma informed] cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, medication assisted therapy and harm reduction (addiction specific), strengths-based and person-centered therapy.
Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase.
