Marelena received her M.A. in Counseling from Northwestern University and her B.A. in Psychology from DePaul University. As a therapist, she values deep emotional healing over temporary relief and sees therapy as a space for clients to slow down and connect with the cues from their bodies. She leads with curiosity and compassion to create an environment where clients feel comfortable sharing anything without fear of being judged or turned away. Committed to the depth and complexity of the therapeutic encounter, she will begin a fellowship at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis this fall..
