Personal Experience
Talia is a Los Angeles native and moved to Chicago 10 years ago. She received her MA in counseling and art therapy from Mount Mary University and completed her internship in community mental health to grow connections in her community. She also worked at the Eating Recovery Center in residential and PHP adolescent eating disorders. Talia incorporates art into her individual and group sessions, practicing from an existential, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and person-centered lens.

She has experience working with kids ages 5 and up through adulthood. As an art therapist and counselor, she is trained in both expressive therapies and traditional talk therapy. She also holds a trauma certificate and is trained in EMDR. Talia acknowledges that sometimes it feels better to talk or paint about our concerns, hopes and dreams.
